Bombs were planted at 26 automated teller machines (ATMs) in Thailand's four southernmost provinces on Wednesday morning, and most went off, while a teacher was slain, a school burned, and soldiers attacked, police said.

Yala police radio station reported that bombs were detonated at six ATM locations in Muang district, four in Yaha and one in Bannang Sata. There were no reports of injuries.
