Police have arrested a man for murdering his brother-in-law and stealing about 2,100 litres of mixed fuel from the tanker he was driving at the time.
Suntorn Wisetsao confessed to killing his wife's brother when he hijacked the fuel tanker he was driving in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Suntorn Wisetsao, 47, was apprehended on Wednesday at a border checkpoint in Nong Khai province as he tried to escape to Laos, according to provincial police region 3 chief Pol Lt Gen Theerasak Glinpongsa.
The man confessed to killing his wife's brother, Rakchai Hadkham, 48, who was found dead inside his truck parked on Kabinburi-Nakhon Ratchasima Road on Oct 2. About 2,100 litres of fuel was missing from the tanker.
