Twenty-nine provinces are still flooded, affecting more than 1.7 million people in 166 districts, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department chief Chatchai Promlert said on Thursday.
Hardest hit are Sa Kaeo, Prachin Buri and Chachoengsao provinces.
The flood situation is moderate in 15 provinces - Buri Ram, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Chaiyaphum, Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, Sing Buri, Chon Buri, Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Nakhon Nayok, Ratchaburi and Pathum Thani.
Eleven provinces affected by minor floods are Lop Buri, Khon Kaen, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Kanchanaburi, Saraburi, Yasothon, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Phetchabun and Samut Prakan.
The reservoir of Bhumibol dam is a 47% capacity and Sirikit dam 60%. The two dams together are currently holding 12.085 billion cubic metres of water.
