Thailand postpones BRN talks

- +

Thailand has decided to defer talks with Barisan Revolusi Nasional originally planned for Oct 20 with the new date undecided, Army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Thursday.

Gen Prayuth said he was informed of the National Security Council’s decision on the postponement as authorities were not ready to meet the separatist group again.

The army commander supported the authorities' decision to make changes to the negotiating team.
