The Criminal Court on Wednesday rejected a request that it revoke bail for three core members of the People's Democratic Force to Overthrow Thaksinism (Pefot) for alleged breach of bail conditions.
The three - Pichet Pattanachote, Somboon Thongburan and Taikorn Pholsuwan - were defendants Nos 20, 21 and 25 in a terrorism case against leading members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) for the occupation of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports in 2008. They were released on bail.
The prosecutors filed a request for the court to revoke their bail on the grounds they violated the conditions set by the court by going up the Pefot stage at Lumpini Park on Aug 4-5, harshing criticising the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and opposing government attempts to issue a decree to amnesty those who took part in political violence from after the Sept 19, 2006 coup to 2010.
