Consumer confidence down in Oct

The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) dropped again in October to 76.6 points, from 77.9 points in September, the Economic and Business Forecasting Centre at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce reported on Thursday. 

The centre said overall confidence in the economy during the month fell to 66.6 points, while confidence in job opportunities dropped to 69.4 points and confidence in people's future income went down to 92.7 points.

All consumer confidence indices were down for the seventh month in a row and hit a 19-month-low, the centre said.
