Arisman: Students conned to join rallies

- +

University students were lured by their tutors to take part in anti-government protests, according to red-shirt hardliner Arisman Pongruangrong.

Mr Arisman appeared on a stage organised by the red-shirt United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) at Imperial Department Store in Lat Phrao on Friday and gave a speech on the mass protests against the government's controversial blanket amnesty bill. His speech was posted on YouTube and it mostly received negative comments and "thumbs-down" from internet users.

He said Rajabhat University and many other universities across the country had a council, which was controlled by a group of individuals, and they had deceived students into joining the anti-government protests.
