A confrontation between the government and protest groups is expected to reach a new level of intensity today when several unpredictable conditions will occur simultaneously.
Police have voiced concern that all groups are gearing up to escalate their protests and stir up public disorder. The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (Capo) said security preparations have been heightened to handle the protest situation.
At issue today are the blanket amnesty bill and the International Court of Justice's ruling over the Preah Vihear dispute.
