Phra Viharn park to reopen as border remains peaceful

- +

Khao Phra Viharn National Park in Si Sa Ket province will reopen to tourists today as the security situation along the Thai-Cambodian border remains calm.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand's Surin office yesterday confirmed the reopening of the park in Kantharalak district.

The park had been closed for security reasons since Nov 4, amid fears the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) ruling on Monday over the disputed area surrounding the Preah Vihear temple might trigger border violence.
