Headman wounded in Pattani attack

A village headman was seriously wounded by gunmen while returning home from a monthly meeting in Pattani's Yarang district. 

Police said the attack occurred about 12.30pm on the Pattani-Yala road near Ban Rabo in tambon Pitumadi.

While Hama Towaema, 56, chief of Village Group 4 in tambon Pitumade, was on returning home from a monthly meeting, a group of men who followed him on another pick-up truck opened fire at him.
