Suspect denies Victory Monument attacks

A man suspected of throwing grenades at anti-government protesters at the Victory Monument on Sunday has denied doing it, saying he was not even in Bangkok, and threatened legal action against the media for portraying him as the culprit.

Rachata Wongyod made his denial to Phaya Thai police through his lawyer Jirasak Boonna on Tuesday, Manager Online reported.
