Man shot, wounded in Narathiwat

- +

A man was shot and slightly hurt in a gun attack in Sungai Kolok district of Narathiwat province on Sunday morning, police said.

Pol Col Prayuth Pongsanti, tambon Muno police station chief, said the incident took place at about 7am while Saifu Useng, 22, of tambon Muno, was walking walking home from a mosque after a morning prayer.

At the time, a man on the rear of a pickup truck parked on one side of the road fired five or six shots at him with a war weapon, prompting Mr Saifu to run for his life. One of the bullets grazed one of his ears, causing him a slight wound.
