Democrats outline reform proposals

- +

Proposals for national reform dominated the first day of the Democrat Party's annual general assembly yesterday.

The proposals announced during the two-day assembly call for major reform in seven key areas: corruption, the electoral system, administration of state agencies and state enterprises, economic structure and income disparity, the justice system, education, and the media.

Deputy party leader Apirak Kosayodhin said corruption needs to be tackled urgently, but noted it would require a collective effort to ensure success.
