Driver who killed 3 policemen apologises

A speeding sport utility vehicle (SUV) ran through a police checkpoint on Boromratchonnanee Road Sunday night, then ran up on the footpath and hit two parked cars and six policeman, killing three of the officers.

Navaporn Phetkaew, 25, said Monday he was the man at the wheel and he would take the blame and plead guilty in court. But he also had a number of excuses.
