Police chaos over false abduction

A mentally disabled teen caused police chaos after lying to people that he had been abducted and 10 other children had suffered the same fate. 

The police 191 radio centre in Kanchanaburi was informed on Monday around 7.30pm that a 16-year-old youth  in tambon Kaeng Sean of Muang district was telling people that he had escaped from a white van and a gang that abducted children, and there were many more young peope in the vehicle. 

Pol Col Pongsakorn Upaphong, commander of Kanchanaburi police, ordered police to intercept the van. The teenager was escorted to a police checkpoint for questioning.
