Photographers sweat it out on dried up Yom

- +

The Yom River in Phitsanulok's Bang Rakam district has run dry, causing disastrous losses to farmers. But for amateur photographers, it's a once-a-year opportunity for some unusual pictures, with a bikini model brought in to pose on the river bed.

What is usually a major water source to villagers is now just rocks and some dead woods as the Yom's water level has fallen dramatically and is almost dry in many areas.

Natchapol Polarsa, president of the Phitsanulok Photographers' Club, said the dried-up river bed created a beautiful scene for photographers and it only happened once a year.
