Logging puts forest status under threat

Parks dept defends record for complex

- +

The National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department is defending its record fighting illegal logging as a United Nations body threatens to axe coveted World Heritage status for a key forest.

The department yesterday insisted it was doing its best to suppress illegal Siamese rosewood logging in the forest.
