Visanu denies drafting interim charter

- +

Visanu Krua-ngam, an adviser to the National Council for Peace and Order, on Thursday denied a report that the NCPO had asked him to draft an interim constitution.

The former law professor and deputy prime minister said the NCPO had in fact given him two assignments.

The first was for him to look into legislative drafts left in parliament after the dissolution of the House of Representatives to see which should be processed immediately and which should wait for deliberation by a national legislative assembly, which has yet to be set up.
