BOT expects economic recovery in Q3

The Bank of Thailand (BOT) predicts that the Thai economy this year should show its most obvious recovery in the third quarter. 

Don Nakornthab, BOT's director for macroeconomic policies, said on Wednesday that the economic recovery would be most obvious in the third quarter of this year as the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) was providing a stimulus. 

He explained that the NCPO's economic stimulation measures significantly improved the overall economic outlook of Thailand throughout this year but the economic situation in the second quarter might not show a noticeable recovery because the positive change just started this month.
