The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) on Saturday night allowed Voice TV and T-News television stations to resume their broadcasting service. The permission took immediate effect.
Under its 65/2557 announcement, the NCPO stated that it allowed the stations to resume broadcasting as practices concerning information dissemination to the general public returned to order.
The council explained that it had suspended the broadcasting of television stations and community radio stations on May 22 in order to stop the dissemination of distorted information that affected peace-restoring efforts and order.
