Engineering design was to blame for the collapse of a Pathum Thani condominium which killed at least three construction workers, the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) said on Wednesday.

EIT director Suchatvee Suwansawat said an initial probe had pointed to the engineering design flaw as the possible cause of the crumbled U-Place condominium in Khlong Luang district on Monday evening.
