NPP slams MPs' visits to Bout

Party says opposition, govt discredit nation

The New Politics Party has lashed out at both the government and the opposition for "discrediting the country's judicial procedures" with their visits to suspected Russian arms smuggler Viktor Bout in prison.

NPP secretary-general Suriyasai Katasila said yesterday Democrat MP Sirichoke Sopha's visit to Mr Bout on April 15 at the Bangkok Remand Prison was inappropriate as he held the position of the prime minister's personal secretary.

He rejected as unsound Mr Sirichoke's explanation that the visit was in relation to his duty as an MP to seek information from the suspect.

Isn't everyone tired of all the he did they did retoric from the PT,NPP, democrats, and UDD? It's all crap. Focus on what you can contribute to the betterment of Thailand instead of your own agendas.
Why is a "clean" politician or military, or policeman the rare exception instead of the rule? Getting these things into the limelight and running them out of office should be your focus.

This constant whining from PT and NPP about how Sirichoke has discredited the country with his visit to Bout is such a load of garbage. Whether what Sirichoke did was right or wrong, outside of Thailand, absolutely nobody who is interested in the Bout case gives a damn about Sirichoke, Thaksin or anyone else and whatever Bout had or didn't have to do with them. No one cares. You're not the center of the world. Get over it.

SOMTAN: You have the habit of shooting off anything and everything that crosses your mind.

Would you kindly refer us to any legitimate proof the PT party "supports" Bout or any other illegal arms dealer, and also provide any sort of even slight proof Taksin is involved in the illegal arms trade?

Considering how the military, since the coup has doubled and possibly tripled its budget maybe you should think more about the LEGAL arms trade. 90 dead in the streets is more significant than your imagination about Taksin.

Disc 14, Just Observing: I commend you on your response to fred.

It appears you took time to obtain an education in life, instead of making elementary comments about Tom and jerry.

    Dis #6, Fred,
I just watched a Tom and Jerry cartoon and must say that it was more believable than the statements made about the govt not being involved or the PM not being aware.
Why else would they insist over and over that they were not trying to be involved.
Since when do the duties of an MP include interogating criminal suspects?

Fred, it is not the job of the PM's aide to interview criminal suspects. That is the job of the police. Of course if he doesn't think the police are up to the task, he should tell them, then hire police who are up to the task.

It is not a surprise that the "elites" and their nominees become so disturbed that the Thai legal system be "tarnished" by the visits and politicizing. The "elites" should not worry if most Thai people have faith in the Thai legal system. Otherwise, the foreigners won't be convinced that the Thai legal system is up to the standard and free of influence from some very small group of figures.

Not really any surprise that Puea Thai is supporting an illegal arms dealers, especailly since Thaksin seems to be involved in this dirty business too.
