New police chief's appointment official

A royal command announced on Monday confirms Pol Gen Wichean Potephosree as the new national police chief, effective from Sept 2, officially bringing to an end the year-long saga over the appointment.

The nomination of Pol Gen Wichean for the post was approved by the police board on Aug 9 after lengthy criticism of the appointment process and political wrangling within the government.

He  replaces Pol Gen Pateep Tanprasert, who has served as acting national police chief for nearly a year.  Pol Gen Pateep retires at the end of this month.

So now job #1 is to get rid of the traitors that reused to enforce the law during the uprisings during ASEA, Songkran 2009 and Songran 2010. Did we have police then? I think we had only watermelons. Refuse orders, lose your job. Get to it.

Well, I have more respect for all his studies like MBA, Law, etc. than all that bling, glitter and glamour on his uniform. Must be hard to iron it properly....
