Parliament has endorsed six draft frameworks for international agreements as required by Section 190 of the constitution.
The six items involve Asean-South Korea trade, Asean's mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, establishment of an Asean-China centre for promoting trade, investment and tourism, the World Bank's capital increase and voting reforms, an Asean university network, and investment promotion and protection.
Cabinet ministers involved in the issues turned up yesterday to defend the draft frameworks, assuring that Thailand had more to gain than lose from signing the international agreements.
