PM says peace talks must be inclusive

Abhisit denies his party spoke with Puea Thai

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has denied assigning members of his Democrat Party to discuss reconciliation with the Puea Thai Party.

Mr Abhisit said yesterday neither deputy party leader Kraisak Choonhavan nor Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra had been ordered to discuss reconciliation with members of the opposition party.

He said some people might have held talks but these would have been informal and resulted from their closeness and a desire simply to exchange views.
