Khun Englishbob #24, thank you for bringing Khun abbub back from his socialist dreamland and back to reality. The old USSR and China, prior to its economic transformation to free market system, were the lands of Equal Distribution of Wealth. And we all witnessed their predictable collapses. On the other hand, the US is known as the Land of Opportunity, both to succeed and to fail. However, if anyone works hard and plays by the rule, one will be successful in improving one's livelihood and to provide for one's family. For those who are willing to put their money at risk, the reward will be even sweeter, but the failure can be big as well. Opportunity will not be possible without the Rules of Law, which has its foundation from the Constitution. That's what PADs are fighting to uphold. And by the way, most of the "poor" in the US has cars and big screen TVs.

Both PAD and the UDD provide no pragmatic solutions to the problems they come out to protest against. All they offer is "regime change" and other self-serving objectives. People that follow these demagogues pandering to emotions rather than reason in the street prove how unprepared Thailand really is for a representative government.

@Abbub - "equal distribution of wealth"...?? What on earth does that mean? Where, apart from your delusions, does that occur? Why should wealth be equal? I work harder than others. I'm smarter than others. I deserve more wealth. Those who have more than me - good luck Those who have less - bad luck, try harder.

Police would not allow protesters to take over any state offices, particularly Government House and parliament. What about the airport? I really feel very sorry for the PM. If I was him, I would resign right away and enjoy my life with my family than to deal with all these people who are a complete waste of time. But then again, he has the desire to love and serve the people. But can see that?

Khun browser #17, I am not against Obama, but I am for the US Constitution, because without it, the Rules of Law is not possible. I hope that the Tea Party will be successful in 2012. I just hate to see this once magnificent nation being turned from a country of law into a country of men, just like Thailand.

As Asian-American, I like Thai because its culture & language are similar to my own culture. However, this is very bully conducts toward its neighbor. Moreover, Thai has more than enough of tempos and land from its neighbor, based on the history of territory map it got. This is very ashame to displace a bully conduct or war attitude; especially in today SouthEast Asian have a way to go to catch with Europe & the West. The tempo is an Asian's Heritage, not just Thai or Combod. & it can't be replace from child-like attitude. PAD co-leader Chamlong is conduct himself like Muslim Extremist or uneducated person or group; he is old man, he should know better!

Yes, China is ‘embracing’ the free market … in much the same way that a boa constrictor would embrace a nice, juicy rabbit.

Does anybody think that it is possible that there are Generals at the border that are loyal to the PAD and therefore are attacking Cambodia as a way to cause discredit for the PM and the subsequent collapse of the government?

D 16 - I'm glad you've made your position clear. You are a die-hard Tea Party supporter, and vehemently against Obama and progressive policies. So your patriotism regarding the US appears dependant on which party is in charge. But for some inexplicable reason you are trying to link the PAD with the Tea Party movement. This is a premise that seems to only make sense to you. D 12 - Thank you. I like your closing comment very much, by the way, which means that it will probably drive D 12 to distraction.
