His Majesty the King yesterday endorsed a royal decree authorising the opening of an assembly of parliament on Monday to be followed the next day by the election of the House Speaker.
Scent of awoman Presumptive prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra receives a warm welcome from supporters bearing flowers at a municipality market on Phosi Road in Udon Thani’s Muang district. She is travelling around the province to thank people for Pheu Thai’s victory in the recent election. The province is a stronghold of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship.
The Election Commission has endorsed 496 MPs this week, which exceeds the required minimum number of 475 of the total 500 needed for the House to convene.

Yes, yes, yes. It's all about democracy and all that idealistic stuff. The problem I see is the credibility of the PTP and the UDD with their history of lies & denials and the visible strings. So let's see how they govern. They must set to work in earnest, to change the laws, to implement their policies, to finance megaprojects so the Shinawatra family can make a fortune. I hope they can make sure there is no more formalin in chicken so I can have chicken BBQ and not die from it.

Burma was also a paradise for somebody who stole billions from the Thai people through the satellite scam....

Its interesting how the only way The UDD and PT can justify their disgusting behavior is by pointing their finger at some one else with equally disgusting behavior like it somehow makes it alright .It doesnt . Thailand has sunk to a new moral low .Just get rid of the law .Amnesty for criminals shows our young that breaking the law is the only way to get ahead .

Firstly, happy birthday in advance to the new cabinet led by Yickluck's government which is to be born in August. Secondly, all the MPs in the incoming parliament, no matter they are PT, DEM or red shirts, are elected by voters according to their own choice in this open election country-wide, which no doubt is a fair, legal and democratic competition. That explains why this election is well recognized by Thai people as well as by the international. Totally agree with Discussion #8 johnb that Burma is a paradise for dictatorship advocates.

Dear Blobber , Are you sure that you did not mean "The Thais deserve a bunch of better liars than PTP"
Discussion 12 : 30/07/2011 at 03:47 PM12
Politics in Thailand became a joke internationally when the last prime minister of a government elected by the people was dismissed for hosting a cookery program on TV. Where was the crime there? Was his cooking no good ?

Discussion 1. Great news all around if you want to see Thailand sink into the depths. Personally I love Thailand. The Thais deserve better than a bunch of liar who are ready to use them for there own personal gain. Obviously you are very gulliable and believe PTP. I do not. They are here to enrich them selves.
