Panlop Pinmanee is not suitable for the top job at the Internal Security Operations Command due to his harsh stance in dealing with southern violence in the past, the Democrats say.
"There are still many other people who are suitable for the job and who could make people feel more comfortable than [they would be by] seeing Gen Panlop in the position," former deputy prime minister in charge of security affairs Suthep Thaugsuban said yesterday.
Mr Suthep said many people would still remember the deep scars caused by Gen Panlop while he worked as the Isoc deputy director in the three southern border provinces.

This is the same Panlop who followed the fugitive's order to use excessive force at the Krue Se mosque massacre. Who will the Puea Thaksin government promote next, the people who killed thousands of innocent Thais during the fugitive's war on drugs?

Disc 2 - Remember the late Prime minister Samak, he would never answer any question unless it was in the form of a tirade against the asker. That was only 3 years ago. And recently, Abhisit never directly answered any either but he did talk around the subjects at length.
