The Criminal Court on Tuesday again rejected a temporary bail request by Somyos Prueksakasemsuk, a key red shirt leader who has been arrested and detained on lese majeste-related offences.
Karom Polthaklang, Mr Somyos's lawyer, filed the request with the court and put up land title deeds worth almost 1.7 million baht as surety.
However, the court denied bail, stating it had previously rejected Mr Somyos’s application for release and already provided at explanation for its denial, therefore there was no reason to grant temporary bail.
