Discussion 3, the US treasury Department has all the rights it wants,,, and will certainly not listen to and care for the desires of UDD/PT and their ultimate paymaster.... who have everything to learn about your word ETHICAL themselves!

Nelson mandela was also on the US ban list and brandid a terrorist for over 15 years. Even though Nalinee is on the ban list in the US due to her connections with mugabe,it does not make her a bad person.
But i do agree that yingluck must look into the background of the ministrs that are appointed by her, or are they appointed by someone else?
What about an interview for the post? and also a C.V. was that not conducted?
Maybe i should apply to work in the office then.
What other country has nalinee on there blacklist also? please tell me.

"The examination into the allegations is under way. We need to ensure fairness for her," - what, the same fairness that Mugabe and his henchmen have shown to the people of Zimbabwe? Do Yingluck or any of her advisers read a newspaper? Nalinee has publicly admitted she is "socially connected" amongst other things with the Mugabes. If that does not show a lack of ethics, then I don't know what does. It's time for this PM to take charge of of what goes on around her before it's too late.

Bula – it is not unethical for the US Treasury Department to impose sanctions on Nalnee. It is unethical to do business with Mugabe and their like who are tyrants killing their own people and enriching them self while the whole population suffers.

Ms Yingluck nothing your office does surprise anyone.

I agree. It is no surprise that Yingluck is surprised.

Nalinee should have spoken with the PM, prior to her appointment, about her blacklisting in the USA. Instead of saving the PM the embarassment of dealing with this in public, Nalinee was intent to get her position no matter what. When people put self-entitlement above the good of the Nation, nothing positive can come forward.

The key to all this comes from Yingluck's words; 'appointed her....because she had five year Thai trade experience'. When exactly was that, if it was during the previous decade then I find it difficult to believe that Nalinee could have conducted trade for five years, certainly with Americans some of the time, and never once trip up over the ban (which has been in place since 2003 I believe). Amateurs!

More and more it seems like PM Yingluck is disconnected from the government. Every news paper in Thailand and the U.S. had stories about Nalinee’s problems and yet again Yingluck has no idea what’s going on. To be head of a government she should know what is happening.

It is UNETHICAL for The US Treasury Department to imposed business sanctions on Nalnee. The alleged business dealings with the regime of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, which the US says is corrupt is a unilateral POLITICAL DECISION. It is not an ethical issue. Nalinee was appointed as a Thai trade representative for five years and no one brought up the ethical issue.
