Former security chief threatens to sue govt

Former secretary-general of the National Security Council Thawil Pliensri yesterday threatened to sue the government in the Administrative Court over his transfer last year which sparked controversy.
Mr Thawil was shifted to a position as adviser to the prime minister in a move seen to accommodate the appointment of Pol Gen Priewpan Damapong as the national police chief.
He was replaced as the NSC chief by former national police chief Pol Gen Wichean Potephosree who was succeeded by Pol Gen Priewpan.
