Somyot's son on hunger strike

A son of red-shirt lese majeste suspect Somyot Prueksakasethe started a 112-hour hunger strike Saturday afternoon in front of the Criminal Court in an attempt to seek bail for his father.
Panitan Prueksakasemsuk, the only son of Somyot and a second year student at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, launched the strike at 4pm to demand his father’s right to be released on bail after his bail requests have been rejected six times.
About 30 students from Thammasat turned up to show their support for Mr Panitan.
