Decree ruling 'won't affect govt'

The government is not required to resign if the two executive decrees are over-ruled by the Constitution Court, Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung said Wednesday.

Mr Chalerm said the government views the loan decrees as an urgent matter for use in flood management.     Instead of monitoring and scrutinizing post-flood rehabilitation projects, the DP choose to blocking it. Blocking the decrees or when it resulted in the delay of post-flood rehabilitation is going to hurt the DP credibility. The people will not blame the government but DP. 2010-2011 flood had cost the lose of more than one trillion baht and this year raining session is fast approaching and even more severe, yet the DP viewed it as not urgent.

    The Dem Party requiring the government to follow the constitution is a political game? Why did the government not pass legislation through parliament in the first place?
