Kanit Na Nakorn, chairman of the Truth for Reconciliation Commission (TRC), has issued an open letter calling for the government and parliament, particularly the ruling Pheu Thai Party, not to rush the four reconciliation bills, to reduce tensions and help prevent the possibility of violence.
He said in the letter that the TRC was worried by the political developments between May 30 and June 1, fearing they could lead to another round of conflict.
Mr Kanit said the government and parliament, particularly the Pheu Thai Party which has a majority in the House of Representatives, not to rush the reconciliation bills through the House, to prevent further conflict in society.
