Provincial reds back charter bill

About 50 members of the Chiang Mai People Who Love Democracy Group on Thursday afternoon submitted a letter to the House speaker, via the provincial governor, announving their support for a meeting to deliberate charter amendments and to deliberate the four proposed reconciliation bills, reports said.

The group’s members, led by chairman of kamnans and village heads in Chiang Mai’s Muang districts Kittipong Nokkaew, said they back the move to alter the 2007 constitution and the enactment of the so-called unity bill.

Mr Kittipong said his group opposes the way the Democrats behaved towards House Speaker Somsak Kaitsuranond in during the parliamentary session last week.

Very important news that 50 people managed to pen one letter between them. I can see how this is national headline.

subcoman D2: what about the rice pledging system? You know, that basic income for farmers which are the largest part of the poor... I've read the price they get paid today is only half of what it was under the democrat's system. And rather than to go to any mill (under the democrats) they now have to drive kilometers to designated mills, making the farmer loose even more money for travelling.

    "Provincial reds back charter bill"

Honestly , 90% of my wifes village wouldn`t even know what it meant !
Ma in law came home with "500 vote 1 luck crumbs" but then forgot which group gave it to her !
Paint the whole village RED to remind them ?

#2- Quick, reckless handouts win elections, but don't solve people's problems, only get them hooked on temporary, unsustainable government subsidies. The solution is education and infrastructure - something neither party is interested in and a testament to why Thais should place hope/trust/support in neither. Look at the collapsing EU and see where your handouts get you. If anything it is a symbol of the depravity & incompetence of PTP.

Discussion 1 , about Yinluck, in only less than one year : free emergency treatment, increase of daily minimum wage in Bkk, projects for worth 1,65 Bn in the poorest areas of Isaan and North, sales of goods at inexpensive prices and to continue of course. Not to mention of course the free medical care for 41 million people of Thaksin, his memorandum of debts for farmers, free limited electricity and water and so on...

Do you mind to give us examples of MAJOR measures of the Dems for the grassroots people during they were on power for 3 years ?

He said his network supports Ms Yingluck to perform duty to improve living standard of all Thai people.

And just when will she start to do this?
