Dems tell unity, charter bill opponents to stay vigilant

Opponents of the government's proposed reconciliation bills should not be complacent following the suspension of their consideration by parliament, the Democrat Party says.

Party figures told about 4,000 supporters at a gathering yesterday in Min Buri district that the bills remain at the top of the government's agenda.

Party heavyweights who took to the stage yesterday included Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, party advisory chairman Chuan Leekpai, former party leader Banyat Bantadtan, and former party secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban.
