Judge withdraws from charter bill case bench

A meeting of Constitution Court judges has agreed to allow Jarun Pukditanakul to withdraw from the bench considering the controversial constitution amendment bill, court president Wasant Soipisut said after the morning session on Thursday.

He said Mr Jarun felt uncomfortable about sitting on the case after a lawyer for the bill's supporters said during testimony on Thursday morning that the judge had previously urged people to vote in support of the 2007 charter because it could be changed later on.

If the multi-colors camp in front of the court house, it is called "support for the judges". If the UDD showed up, it is called pressuring the judges.

The judge who previously said 'the constitution can be changed' has stepped down . . . perhaps he was 'uncomfortable' that his predetermined vote was contradictory to what he said before?

I'm only surprised the rest of the panel haven't quit, given the level of intimidation and veiled threats from the UDD and PT.
