Banharn vows a comeback

Former prime minister Banharn Silpa-archa, who celebrates his 80th birthday today, vows to return to politics when his five-year political ban expires to help the Chartthaipattana Party move forward.

Mr Banharn today opened his residence in Soi Charan Sanitwong 55 for people to call on him and give him their birthday wishes.

A large number of people and officials from Suphan Buri province as well as members of the Chartthaipattana Party led by party leader Chumpol Silapa-archa and former executives of the defunct Chart Thai Party such as Somsak Prisanananthakul, Anurak Jureemat and Nikorn Chamnong turned up for the occasion.
