Democrat duo testify to rally deaths probe

DSI chief denies role in CRES strategic talks

Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and the party's MP for Surat Thani Suthep Thaugsuban Monday testified to the Department of Special Investigation over the crackdown on the red-shirt rallies.

They were both confident they demonstrated that they had acted legally.

The two men, who were in charge of directing state measures against the demonstrators, are accused by the red shirts of involvement in the 91 deaths of protesters and soldiers, most of which took place during clashes at the Khok Wua and Ratchaprasong intersections in April and May 2010.

there only one man who should be in the dock for the responsibility of 92 person killed in bangkok on that day ,only one man who instigated and financed the whole event, only one man is accountable for his devilish ways ,unfortuately that man, a well documented convicted criminal is on the run

Ironic witch hunt, I'm one of the many who felt that much more force should have been used and much sooner. You're obviously a more patient man than I am Kuhn Abhisit, hope this harassment stops soon.

Khun Abhissit and Khun Suthep...you have the moral support of every decent, intelligent and law abiding citizen of this country against this farce of red and Dubai steered inquiry!!!

Imagine a mob of thieves invades your house. You get your sons to fight back. Some of your boys and some of the mob are killed. Later the thieves blame you for all the deaths. How is that different than the preposterous accusations by Reds Shirts against Abhisit, that he's responsible for all 91?

Thank you for being a man, Abhisit. No one had to catch you crawling over a hotel balcony in the middle of the night to bring you before an investigative panel. Rational people know the truth and you will be exonerated.

If the protesters were peaceful and legal they would not have disabled all the CCTV cameras.Videos tell no lies. Videos would have helped either side prove their case.

I wish Abhisit luck. He had a very difficult job to perform. Rioting people, who were armed, controlling vast sections of the capital. Unfortunately, they gave the government no other choice but to crack down. Pretty much every other leading government in the world would have done exactly the same thing.

"There's no worry at this stage," AV said.

No worry until the Attorney General decides to prosecute him.

"I'll tell only the truth," Mr Suthep said before testifying to DSI investigators yesterday.

Lies will be told as well.
