Key red-shirt abused in restaurant

Red-shirt key supporter Darunee Kritbunyalai on Monday filed a defamation suit against a woman who shouted at her, accusing her of defaming the royal institute, while she was having dinner at a luxury Bangkok shopping complex.

The suit was lodged with the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) by the 63-year-old socialite and former fugitive red shirt core member who is facing a charge of violating the emergency decree announced to control the 2010 political riots.

Mrs Darunee told police that she was having a meal with her personal secretary at a beef noodle shop on the fourth floor of Siam Paragon in the Pathumwan area on Friday, Aug 31, at about 7pm when an unidentified woman approached her and reviled her angrily and loudly, asking why she had reproached the highest institution.

Don't even the staunchest red shirt apologists find this just a little hypocritical?

Poor little old darling - the boomerang came back and landed straight in her high-so noodle soup. It made people in the restaurant and passers by detest her... not too many red shirts at Siam Paragon, I guess?

I saw it on youtube and loved it.
Wonder if she shares those diamonds with the hapless motley crew behind her.
When you dish out venom be ready to receive it.

I didn't know that there were socialites among the Prai red shirts, this whole thing just gets more surreal by the day.

I'm waiting for the normal reds on here to complain that this is injust. That only their side have the right to scream abuse.

Damaged her reputation?? Her reputation is beyond salvage, only good to perform in the red villages.....she should be in jail!

She was having dinner at Siam Paragon... lol... She's lucky her Red Shirts didn't burn it down 2 years ago.
At first I thought this was going to be a story about a group of rabid political nutcases throwing stones and attacking the woman. But it's a storm in a teacup - a woman pointed at her and asked her a question loudly? 555 My friends had to move out of their apartments in 2010 listening to this woman and her friends - and they had loudspeakers!

Oh poor Darunee, shouted at while eating beef noodles at the Siam Paragon with her personal secretary. The poor dear.

Where I come from we have a saying,....."You run with dogs, expect to get fleas."

By the way, does anyone know what she's a 'socialite' of? The diamond fashion world maybe?
