Poll: Majority agree with TRC report

A majority of people agree with the complete report of Truth for Reconciliation Commission (TRC) on the 2010 riots and believe it can be used to restore unity in the country, according to the results of a Suan Dusit Poll revealed on Sunday.

The poll was conducted between Sept 18-22 on 1,084 people in Bangkok and nearby provinces.

The majority, or 53.70%, said they agreed with the report because the TRC had spent a considerable period of time to conduct studies on information, evidence and witnesses concerning what happened during the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship's (UDD) protests in April-May 2010.

PT MPs are demanding they be allowed to conduct their own poll to prove the first one is wrong.

Such a poll should have been accompanied with a poll showing how many have actually read it , that would be close to 0 % ...so how can anybody agree or disagree ?... Have tried to find an online specimen of the report in Thai or english, but not yet been so lucky, maybe somebody else have the link ?

we know the truth, the master from far away was the cause of this event ,the police done nothing for 2 months ,welcoming them into the city, them it become a big party bankrolled by the fugitive, then when they were told by their leaders to go home, the hard core of the red mob turned violent and set bangkok alight ,looting and shooting ,the army had to contain the situation useing force against force, then the police reappeared the following day, shaking the hands which had blood on the red mobs hand, and yes a international inquiry would have been better, but l guess the pt regime didnt want that, they want a cover up as usual, they dont want the real truth ?

It also has not adequately touched on the complete and utter repeated failure of the Police to enforce the laws of Thailand.
