Chalerm ends Kamronwit job rumour

Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung on Monday denied rumours that Metropolitan Police chief Kamronwit Thoopkrachang may be replaced in Bangkok by the deputy commissioner of the Southern Border Provinces Police Operation.

Mr Chalerm, who oversees police affairs, said rumours were common in the police organisation and were often untrue.

Asked whether Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit was a fit and proper person for the job, Mr Chalerm said the officer was well suited to the post because he was a competent and honest person. He said he admired the city police chief because he was a thug-catching type of officer, not a boot-licking one.

Thaksin was in my country last month. I can unequivocally say that I did not meet with him... Or did I?

I love how PTP MPs, or police always go to the same place as Thaksin and put out a statement saying they didn't meet. Who's going to believe that? Even my dog won't believe their white lies. Seems like white lies are becoming synonymous with the PT camp.

Last time Kamronwit met Thaksin in Hong Kong...
This time Kamronwit and Charlem will meet Thaksin in Singapore...
Next time Kamronwit and PM will probably meet Thaksin in Chiang Mai.

Competent and honest? And he said that with a straight face? Chalerm wouldn't know either if he fell over them!

'Meanwhile, Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit acknowledged he went to Singapore on Saturday and Sunday with Mr Chalerm to see the Formula One racing, but denied media reports that he met Thaksin, who was also there'.

Oh really ? Their lies are beyond patronizing. Of course he met Thaksin.

Always wonder why the part of the media that is so obsessed with TS can't even manage to get a photo of him in situ ... in this case with Chalerm and the Police chief...how hard can it be .... just rumors again. Anyway was in Singapore too for the race, excellent show, best race on the calendar, much better than Monaco, looking forward to next years race already.

    Nobody is surprised by this.

Chalerm doesn't care about ethics or principles : loyalty to the cause is the most important thing, even if you are an incompetent dunderhead (like Chalerm, Sukumpol, Kittiratt, Yingluck, Sarupon and who knows how many others).

In any other country, there would be outrage at the disgraceful nature of this cronyism. In Thailand it is business as usual.
