Varathep: No pressure on PM

Members of the so-called House No 111, or former executives of the defunct Thai Rak Thai Party, have never pressed for a cabinet seat, Varathep Rattanakorn said on Monday.

Mr Varathep, one of the 111 whose five-year political ban has just expired, was a former deputy finance minister in the Thaksin government.

He dismissed as a rumour the report which had been spread around for some time that he and some other members of House No.111 had pressured Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra for cabinet posts.

Of course, they don't pressure the PM.They go straight to the boss. I don't believe that Thai culture has made a huge swing around for men to accept a woman being in charge of their positions.

Of course he should. Jatuporn should be rewarded for acting swiftly on his master's order to burn down Bankok in 2010. I am sure he will be very succesful in stuffing his pockets and abusing the immunity that goes with that post.

PT politicians are clever enough to know that next to TS, YS is their best electoral weapon, the people like her.
The latest Suan Dusit poll shows that her popularity increased over the last six months, for 'determination' the latest poll gives her 6.95 (out of 10)up from 6.58 six months ago. For her 'performance' its 6.41 up from 5.95.
As for being 'clueless', she recently answered questions in English at The Asia Society in NY and seemed able to hold her own, there is a video you can watch. Incidently, the interviewer there was former US Ambassador John who was impressed by her way back in 2009 (see Wikileakes cable).

It's so funny to read quotes from PT politicians giving lip-service credit to Yingluck and the notion that she actually decides anything at all.

They all know as well as we do that she is clueless about most things and accepts direction from afar.

The hypocrisy in Thai politics at the moment is at an unbelievable level - I would not have thought this situation to be possible in 2012 if I had not seen it with my own eyes. Everything about PT screams "WRONG" to me.

God ,they are like hyenas , creeping around looking for any deal to get back their investment.

BTW " Jautporns sentence was because he was guilty of a felony. He should "show spirit and resign".

Isn't that a misquote? I thought the man in Dubai had the sole power.
