Reshuffle confirmed by cabinet

- +

The cabinet has approved the annual reshuffle of 24 senior officials at the Interior Ministry amid reports of alleged interference from politicians and individuals with close links to the Pheu Thai Party.

The new positions approved by the cabinet yesterday are a deputy permanent secretary for the interior, two inspector-generals and 21 provincial governors.

Sakon Nakhon governor Charin Chakkaphak was appointed deputy permanent secretary for the interior; outgoing deputy permanent secretary Pracha Terat will serve as inspector-general.
