NACN affirms graft allegations

Mongkolkit Suksintharanon, secretary-general of the National Anti-Corruption Network (NACN), on Thursday submitted to a Senate committee a list of politicians and other people alleged to have been involved in the siphoning of 16 billion baht of government flood projects money that was transferred to Hong Kong and France.

He handed over the list to the Senate committee on corruption and promotion of good governance.

The NACN secretary-general said the list was to enable the senate committee to set up a subcommittee to investigate the corrupt embezzlement of the money.

Alexa you make a big mistake. I didn't give any political colour. Any corrupted politicians have to be punished, doesn't matter the party they come from. I am not like you to forgive and clear the bad guys from your favorite political party, especially the man of Dubai who is not corrupted but corruptor...

peterd 8, of course you are right, all politicians, but at this moment the holier than thou PT government is in place, and they are actually worse that ever before. The amounts throwing around are staggering and it appears for one reason only. And concerning the Gold traders of Yaowarat, they are involved in money laundering for many many years. The respectable Perth Mint quietly withdrew from its partnership in Thailand after reading that the No.1 Yaowarat Gold dealer partner was involved in money laundering as reported in a big Sunday article in the BKK Post many years ago.

#5, all the politicians who steal the people have to be punished. All!!! They can be PT, Dems or without political color. All the people with power (big or small) must be punished if corruption is proved. It's never a dogmatic question. You support yourself the Dems, no? Have black sheep everywhere, so, don't be too naive.

16 billion baht, 16 billion baht, that is 16,000,000,000.00 Baht. How many lives could have been spared, how many houses could have been repaired. How can the people that stole this money look in the mirror. This is a disgusting amount of money and some Thai people think corruption is OK
