DSI urged to review 'men in black' footage

UDD posts extra B1m reward for information

United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) co-leader Jatuporn Prompan wants the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to inspect video footage of an army unit in Bangkok which he claimed might give some clues about the so-called "men in black".

Jatuporn: Wants two soldiers questioned

He made the statement as he arrived at the DSI yesterday to testify about the deadly 2010 clashes between security forces and red-shirt protesters.

The problem is - there is evidence that Thaksin's mercenaries actually, purposefully targeted protesters - and the information is starting to get around. In fact, there were spotters in the crowd putting particular protesters in position to be shot - this was caught on film. So I think PTP/UDD has a lot invested in trying to now pin the MIB on someone else. I assure you, though, the MIB were working with/for the UDD.

Seh Daeng already admitted, on record on several occasions that the MIB were under his command. He numbered them at 300, which matches army estimates, and he admitted they were armed with M-79s. UDD international spokesman Sean Boonpracong, likewise, admitted to Reuters the MIB intervened on the UDD's behalf. We already have multiple confessions, including death threats made by UDD leaders on stage daily for several weeks straight. Case closed.

Disc 16 - RFR has never had an American interviewer. Our interviews are conducted by Free Speech Radio News through their parent Pacifica Radio. All we do is arrange and broadcast them. Being FSRN's only SE Asian affiliate has it's perks.

If you send me your email I'll gladly send you a list of our reporters during the protests you may be surprised that most are very neutral. Posting their names is not allowed here, as I'm sure you already know.

D15 : Sources/names/positions of those who reported to you? As a PTP/UDD supporter, and if you're the interviewer of influencials on Red RFR,with the american accent, you should be the last one to talk about a well oiled propaganda machine.
Also, you have no clue as to how/where I get information. And try not to be so condenscenting towards Thais. Most Thais I know are well aware of what's going on around them. They just don't have a say in any of it and if it doesn't directly impact on their daily life, they can't really be bothered. I fully agree the truth needs to come out now but I doubt you'll like it.

Disc 14 - I've seen footage and I know a fair number of the people that reported on a daily basis 24/7, some of them to us directly. You haven't had the chance to talk to these people to ask them to root around for specific information. You have garnered most of your information from a propaganda machine that is well oiled.

I said quite categorically that I would accept the outcome, unlike yourself. The Thai people have never known the truth in past incidents such as these that were all covered and I'm 100% sure you didn't live through any of them. It's time the truth came out whatever it is.

D13 said : "I can live with the outcome no matter who is to blame..." You're lying again. Despite all the evidence(pic's,vid's,Seh Daengs and other red shirt leaders statements prior and during the Siege of BKK and even back to the PAD siege of Government House),you now pin your hopes on a Jatuporn(a notorious and proven liar)conspiracy theory. The cover up,as you call it,is the one Thaksin/PTP/UDD has been scheming on and your red leaders are publicizing now. You all KNOW the truth about the MIB,you just don't have the courage to admit it and that is why reconciliation is not going to happen. Such a shame for Thai and country.

From what i read here most posters would rather support a potential a cover up or blame a specific party for the MIB. Wouldn't it be much better for Thai society to find out who actually commanded the MIB. I can live with the outcome no matter who is to blame but I fear that many here could not, if it went against their predisposed thinking.

The videos mentioned show 3 or 4 MIB, not who they are and who sent them. Very amazing how some people know the truth before the investigators. Are they afraid by the reality no dogmatic of the facts? They are wrong, because the search of the truth and the formal establishing of the responsibilities are very important for the Thai people reconciliation and union.

The MIB may have killed a few people but who killed and wounded all the rest. Let's not forget the MIB were not the only ones doing the killing. There should be a reward for info leading to anyone who killed any innocent person.

D#8, khunbj: your heroes are much closer to your story. There is more brown in red than in yellow.
