Thaksin heading for Tachilek

Thaksin Shinawatra will visit the Myanmar border town of Tachilek opposite Mae Sai district of Chiang Rai on Tuesday, say his supporters.

The fugitive former prime minister may stay in the area for four or five days, said a source in the red-shirt United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

Thaksin's itinerary will include a visit to the Tachilek Shwedagon Pagoda, which was built as a replica of the country's most famous shrine in Yangon.

If Thailand dose not ask Myanmar to extradite him on the grounds that he is a convicted person it will reveal all we thought true. This so called government is paving the way for his return and I suspect sparks will fly then.

Ricefield Radio d.12, "I think you have all been had." You sure got it right there.

Charlies d.13, "So many people are jealous of Mr T." Maybe you misinterpret the resentment many people feel for the fugitive.

4 or 5 days seems to be a bit long to visit a Pagoda and have some Thai food. I wonder if there may be some business objectives on the agenda, which may be mutually beneficial to both countries?

So many people are jealous of Mr T. I don't know why but I think they are minor people just like dogs barking around. If you can not accept reality then you are always a loser. Mr T is so powerful and you have to learn his ideas to help move the country forward. Mr T is the best all time around in ThaiLand.

I think you have all been had. Thaksin isn't likely to fly into Tachilek as the approach is over Thai territory and very close to the border. His plane could easily be seen, intercepted or shot down. This was just for effect and he'll go to Hong Kong where he knows he's safe. IMHO

It isn't about Thaksin, it's about democ.... HAHAHA sorry I couldn't type it without hysterically laughing. Southeast Asia has had enough mass murdering despots and personality cults. Time to close the book on this one.

The source of all of Thailands division and problems wants to lurk about the borders like a coward instead of face the charges against him like a man .^ years and what has he learned ? Money cant buy common sense .

Isn't that sweet? He is always thinking of his people and will let them come to be blessed, cured of scrofula and ask for winning lottery numbers.

Sole objective of this trip is to stir the pot. So much for reconciliation.
