More action planned against Abhisit

A petition will be filed Monday asking the Election Commission to seek a Constitution Court ruling on whether Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva has lost his MP status after being retroactively dismissed from the military.

Former senator Ruangkrai Leekijwattana said on Sunday the EC would be asked to forward a request to the Constitution Court to make the ruling.

For a government that is allegedly seeking reconciliation for the country, they are sure hell bent on revenge against Abhisit.

I remember same thing happen when PM Samak was disqualified for doing cooking show on TV. Maybe what go around come around?

RE: D7 did she summit a fraudulent document claiming she was? The law sates that all males must serve a term or have been excused. The law does not accept submiting a false document saying you were. People in high place seem to have been many times immune from following the law....and this looks like another one of those cases. Even Abhisit is not really challenging the fact, but only that it is being used against him.

I think a whole cabinet including the PM taking it's orders from a fugitive abroad is far more serious stuff and totally against democracy. The military finds this alleged draft dodging not important, only the Defense Minister, who then orders the military to rake this very old story. If this is not politically motivated and totally unbecoming from a Defense Minister and a Prime Minister, who should have put a stop to this utter nonsense. When is the Anubaan lever government doing something about the many far more serious problems in our country? Education perhaps, so in due time these fake shows of indignation cannot take place any more?

It's obvious that not only the criminal fugitive but his entire flock of worshippers are afraid of Khun Abhisit because they know, deep down in their black hearts, they've done this country and it's people wrong and he is going to point this out on live tv. As the no-confidence motion draws near, the Peua Thaksin Plaything gets more and more desperate.

Was the PM a member of the military prior to election? I wasn't aware that this was a pre-requisite to be elected to a civilian government in Thailand.

The disciplinary decision against Mr. Abhisit was made by the Ministry of Defence - in other words, politicians and the bureaucrats who work for them - not the military, which has said repeatedly this matter was closed long ago and Mr. Abhisit had done nothing wrong. So, the senator is wrong. And not for the first time. By the way, does the senator and the Defense Minister ever plan on doing anything about the situation in the Deep South?

RE: D2....that was the funniest thing I have read here in ages...
Actually I think the whole thing is just part of the Thai political mud slinging contest., but as Abhisit was so willing to sling the mud, then he should be willing to have mud slung at him. He was willing to make the most outrageous court claims and they were printed on the front of the news paper....6 months later when they were thrown out of court it was printed again, but on page 37.
The PT is waging a publicity campaign against the opposition just as the DP did..Both parties need to quit the mud slinging and go to work on the many problems facing this country.

He sure wishes he didn't stab PADs in the back when he was PM of Thailand back then.
