Brits ask DSI to testify on Comstrac Co

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has been asked by police in the UK to testify against a British company accused of providing Thailand with useless bomb detectors.

The case involves Comstrac Co Ltd, which is accused of fraud in connection with the manufacture, promotion and sale of GT200 and Alpha 6 bomb detecting equipment.

Pol Lt Col Pong-in Intarakhao, director of the Security Crime Bureau, said British police have asked the DSI to testify about the false technology and the damage it has caused to the country. A hearing is tentatively scheduled during March-April next year, he said.

Thought I would make clear the legal action in the U.K. against the sellers of the different detectors.

1. Alpha 6 - Comstrac

The following have been committed to trial on fraud charges related to sales of the Alpha 6: Simon Sherrard, Sam Tree and Joan Tree. They have entered claims of Not Guilty.

2. GT200 - Global Technical

Gary Bolton of Global technical has been committed to trial over sales of the GT200. We understand he has not yet entered a plea.

We understand that it was the GT200 and Alpha 6 models that were sold to Thailand.

3. ADE651 - ATSC

James McCormick has been committed to trial on fraud charges related to

Perhaps the British investigation will reveal if any kickbacks were given out to "enhance the sale" of these devices. And if so, who received them.
