UTCC: House dissolution unlikely

The no-confidence debate from Nov 25-27 will not lead to the dissolution of the House of Representatives, says an economist at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

The censure debate would focus only on exposing the mismanagement of the government’s policies as seen by the opposition Democrats, said Thanavath Phonvichai, director of the Economic and Business Forecasting Centre at the university.

The censure motion makes no specific mention of corruption or irregularities, as the Democrats had alleged earlier, he said.

This is all about a very insecure opposition party. They are affraid of how well the PT will do in running the country as it will ruin all their chances of ever being elected. If they don't prove the Yingluck Government incapable and corrupt as they have claimed they should step down as it would make them incapable of running an opposition. Abhisit thinks that everything he says is true but never seems to be able to prove a thing.

Dissolution of the house is not only unlikely it's impossible, because of the sheer number of votes the government has. It's 347 government to 153 opposition even the BJT won't side with the Democrats on this one.

Why must we wait so long for democracy? All it will take is the fair application of law and order to all citizens regardless of status. Bye bye clan Shinawatra.
